How time flies when you are having fun. I was just advising The Fresh Flower Company on the value and benefits of keeping News up to date, then realised that April '10 was my own last update; a poor show.

It has been an exciting year. Future Ideas Media Design continues to support almost all sites created by us over the last 11 years, offering ongoing support to clients, site updates and maintenance, and increasingly fulfilling requirements for upkeep and enhancement of web site search engine ranking. A new site at dressmaker-bath.co.uk was created for Rosamund Atelier Couture Dressmaker, to focus on the local market for repair work, and a big overhaul to Great Gaffs St. Ives holiday cottages was undertaken to improve lettings; in both cases with rewarding success. A lot of work has gone in to the Garden Requisites English wirework site; an interesting aside is that the company discovered their content was being stolen by a shady, but large, competitor, and they made a successful out of court legal challenge to put a stop to this.

Sites launched since the last news update are The Fresh Flower Company's new e-commerce web site developed on Zen Cart, Motcombe Farm Alpacas which is a Joomla content management system (CMS),  Tristan Sutton Landscapes, Lister Lift Trucks, Complete Construction Project Management and Andrea Dell's Homeopathy Wiltshire, the last two also both Joomla developments.

There are a number of exciting projects currently in development, again for the greater part CMS web sites. There is an increasing demand for CMS as site owners come to realise that it is achievable and affordable now to take control of their site content. Product photography is a regular occupation and a lot of work has been done for George East Housewares Ltd. throughout the last year, looking forward to seeing the results in their Spring Catalogue. Over time Future Ideas Media Design has undertaken approximately 90% of the product photography on the GEH web site.
